The patch addresses 30 security flaws, seven of which are classed as “high.” Five of the bugs (plus another six classified “medium”) are “Use after free” flaws, which allow hackers to transfer arbitrary code to a program due to a memory relocation issue. Chrome version 1.41 is now available for Windows, Mac, and Linux users. On Tuesday, April 26th, Google announced the upgrade in a blog post. At the very least, we have a fair chance of keeping our Chrome usage safe from hackers. To be honest, Google deserves credit for staying on top of things: We occasionally discover that a corporation has been sitting on major security vulnerabilities for months without delivering a new patch.
